NHCFAE Foundation FAAmilia Scholarship Program
The NHCFAE champions the pursuit of higher education and supports students with merit-based scholarships. In 2018, the Coalition created the NHCFAE Charitable Foundation as a way to support the education of members and their families, and to replace the NHCFAE FEEA Scholarship.
This year, the NHCFAE Foundation FAAmilia Scholarship Program application filing period is from April 30th, 2025, to June 30th, 2025
HOW TO APPLY
Current Application Period is April 30th until June 30th, 2025
STEP 1: Check Your Eligibility
Applicant must:
- Be a dependent of a NHCFAE member and/or a NHCFAE Member (spouses, children or legal dependents under the age of 25 of NHCFAE members);
- Be a US Citizen or a permanent resident residing in the United States or a US territory;
- Dependents be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in their academic program UNLESS applicant is a NHCFAE member who may be enrolled part-time; and
- Have a 5 or higher cumulative, unweighted grade point average.
STEP 2: Application Checklist
Requirements:
- Online Application;
- Recommendation Letter; and
- Transcript (most recent transcript in a pdf copy.)
Application Checklist NOTES:
- Complete Online Application. You MUST use complete the essay question and all questions with complete sentences, proper grammar, punctuation, and spell-out acronyms.

- Recommendation letter may be from a teacher, professor, guidance counselor, community member, and/or professional (ex: coach, volunteer supervisor, club mentor, supervisor, colleague, etc.).
- Recommendation letter MUST be signed, either digitally or (wet) and no longer than 1 page.
- Be sure to have recommendation letters and official transcript when you initiate the application online.
- All three (3) documents must be submitted.Incomplete applications without transcripts or signed letter of recommendation will NOT be considered.
- Submit all documentation via the online application as no documents will be accepted by mail, email, and/or fax.
- All documentation must be submitted by 11:59 pm EDT on the due date. Applications received after the application deadline will NOTbe accepted.
Step 3: Application Selection Criteria
- Each application will be reviewed, ranked, and recommended based on the following factors:
- Completed and submitted Online Application, Recommendation Letter, and Official Transcript
- Record of academic and personal achievement
- Record of community service and engagement
- Recommendation letter (Substance, signed, 1 page)
- The substance and quality of the essay and all questions throughout the application
STEP 4: Scholarship Recipients Requirements
Applicant must:
If you are recipient of a scholarship, you WILL be notified via electronic mail. You MUST complete the following before a scholarship award is submitted to your educational institution by the due date identified in the notification electronic mail:
- Provide an explanation of your educational goals or how the scholarship will help achieve them by either:
- Submitting a short article for the NHCFAE Familia magazine; OR
- Submit a video under 60 seconds
- Submit a photo
Key Dates
Key Dates - (NOTE: Dates are subject to change; however, they will be updated on the website.)
- April 30: Application period opens at 8:00 am EDT
- June 30:Application period closes at 11:59 pm EDT
- August 1:Notification of scholarship award via electronic mail
- You must respond to the electronic mail to confirm receipt and verify any requesting information. After three attempts to contact a recipient with no response, the scholarship will be forfeited.
- August 15:Scholarship Recipients must submit photo, an article or video
NHCFAE will:
- September 30: Submit to Educational Facility scholarship award;
- Annual Training Conference:Acknowledge Scholarship Recipients during the Conference;
- Publish Scholarship Recipients Name, photo, article on the NHCFAE website and the NHCFAE FAAmilia magazine; and
- Post Scholarship Recipients video on all NHCFAE platforms (website and social media).
