NHCFAE at NATCA CFS 2023
Our NHCFAE has a great collaborative relationship with NATCA, and this past September 18-20 we had the opportunity to take part in NATCA Communication for Safety (CFS). This is an annual event where industry and NATCA come together and discuss relevant issues impacting our air traffic workforce. Nearly 1,300 NATCA members and controllers from around the country convened in Las Vegas to discuss safety. This event was also supported by FAA leadership, and Acting Administrator, Polly Trottenberg, also took part in a panel discussion.
We appreciate the opportunity to host a table at this event every year, and it’s a great way to connect with members of our NHCFAE, and also welcome new members. This year, we welcomed 13 new members to our NHCFAE FAAmilia. The team representing our NHCFAE this year included Nat Perez, Western Pacific Chapter Director, and former board member, Jonathan Eagle.
As NATCA members, we are proud to represent our NHCFAE at this event. We also took some time to visit Las Vegas Tower/Tracon while we were in Vegas, and we advised everyone that we will be hosting our conference in their great city next August 20-22. We would like to thank Tony Borgert, who is the NATCA Facility Representative in Las Vegas, for taking the time to show us around.
